Gaoqiao street is located in the southeast of Tongxiang City, known as Tongxiang "South Gate". Gaoqiao is located 140 km to Shanghai in the East, 50 km to Hangzhou in the West and Haining, the largest leather production base in China in the south. Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway runs through the East and West, and a number of traffic trunk lines such as Tongjiu line and Gaosheng line pass through. Shanghai Hangzhou high-speed railway and Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway set up stations and entrances respectively. The traffic is very convenient. Buddhist temple

Yanjiao temple, the holy land of Buddhism, is located 1.5 kilometers northwest of Gaoqiao Town, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province. It was first built in 943 A.D. in the eighth year of Tianfu in the later Jin Dynasty. It was originally named Baoan courtyard. It was the residence of Li Yizhi, the Minister of Guanglu in Yinqing of Jin Dynasty. In the early years of Zhiping in the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Yanjiao temple. In the old days, the buildings were magnificent and towering with ancient trees. From shazhutangkou to toushanmen, there was a long-term stone corridor of one li. On both sides of the corridor, there were verdant pines and cypresses. The buildings covered an area of more than 30 mu. There were hengha hall, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, Wofo hall, Guanyin hall and Qianfo Pavilion. There were more than 100 monks and Fangtou people. It was a famous ancient temple in the south of the Yangtze River one of.

Yanjiao temple has experienced thousands of years of changes, and each has its ups and downs. During the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, the monks carried out major repairs and maintained the architecture of the Ming Dynasty. The main wooden beam of the main hall still retains its original appearance. During the cultural revolution, Yanjiao temple was demolished, and only one of the ancient main hall remains today.

After the reform and opening up, Yanjiao temple was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit by Tongxiang Municipal People's Government (formerly Tongxiang County People's Government) in June 1981 under the care and attention of the superior government.
