Lianhua town
Lianhua Town, Yuelu District, Changsha City, originally belonged to Wangcheng County, Hunan Province. After the adjustment of the division of Changsha City, the capital of Hunan Province in June 2008, Lianhua Town, together with Hanpu town and Pingtang Town, was included in Yuelu District, Changsha City.
The town is located in the southwest edge of Yuelu District of Changsha City, adjacent to Hanpu street of Yuelu District in the East, Daolin town of Ningxiang city and Heling town of Yuhu District of Xiangtan City in the south, yuchangping town of Yuelu District in the west, bailuopu town of Wangcheng district and Leifeng town of high tech Zone in the north. The total area of the town is 113 square kilometers, with a population of 50230 (2017), 30920 mu of farmland, 115394 mu of mountain forest and 5912 mu of water surface.
After the adjustment of village level zoning in 2004, the town has jurisdiction over 16 villages, 1 community, 258 villager groups and 10 resident groups. There are 3 middle schools, 14 primary schools, 1 county hospital and 2 health centers. It was the largest township in Wangcheng County.
On February 16, 2009, Zhang Jianfei, deputy secretary of Changsha Municipal Party committee and mayor, proposed to build the lotus area into "the most beautiful village in China".
Zhao Jianqiang, Secretary of Yuelu District Party committee, said that in 2009, they will continue to solidly carry out the construction of "two types", especially the construction of Lianhua "two types" demonstration town, accelerate the comprehensive consolidation of ten thousand mu land, yuhuashan ecological resettlement community, Lianhua town transformation and other projects, and provide water, electricity, road, information and other infrastructure from a high starting point, so as to make Lianhua the largest "green city" in Changsha "Lung" has become "the most beautiful village in China".

Traffic situation
The transportation is convenient. It is connected with national highway 319 in the north. Changshaolou expressway, Huangqiao Avenue, Xuguang Expressway and the completed "Xiejin" line, "Yujiu (x079)" line, "Lianshan (x081)" line, "Pingjin (x083)" line all pass through the town. The "Lianshan" line and "Yujiu" line cross the Lianhua community in a cross shape, which is the traffic artery of the whole town.

The territory is surrounded by mountains, rolling hills, beautiful scenery, Wufeng mountain, Huxing mountain, Huangmao mountain and other places are particularly precipitous and beautiful. In 113 square kilometers of the town, the forest coverage rate is more than 50%.
The territory is rich in natural resources, including coal, limestone, road stones, as well as rich forest resources. There are 3 small type I reservoirs and 5 small type II reservoirs in the whole town. Ponds and dams are scattered all over the town, and water resources are sufficient.
Economic situation
Lianhua town was merged from Lianhua Township, Wufeng Township and Tongmu Township in 1995, thus forming three market towns: lianhuaqiao market town (town government resident), Wufeng market town and Tongmu market town. In 2007, the total revenue of the town was 21.24 million yuan, of which 17.51 million yuan was the general budget revenue. The per capita net income of farmers is 5300 yuan.
Lianhua town is a typical agricultural town. Its industrial structure is dominated by agriculture, and its internal structure is dominated by agriculture and forestry, as well as animal husbandry and sideline fishery. Longping high-quality hybrid rice, pollution-free vegetables and tea are the pillar industries of Lianhua town. In addition, the main agricultural products are citrus, wood and lean pig.
From January to September 2007, the total revenue of Finance and taxation of the whole town was 15.367 million yuan, and the total industrial output value of township enterprises was 208 million yuan. The town is rich in stone resources, suitable for the development of building materials, stone processing and other industries.
