In 1961, jiantoudao commune was set up by Baoli commune; in May 1994, toudao town was changed. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in tou Dao town was 23139. As of June 2020, toudao town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 11 administrative villages.

History of construction

In 1961, jiantoudao commune was set up by Baoli commune.

In 1984, toudao commune was transformed into toudao township.

In May 1994, gaitoudao town was established.
