In January 1914, Jiangtun town belonged to Heishan County, Liaoshen Road, Fengtian province; in May 1984, it was changed to Jiangtun town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Jiang Tun Town was 21279. As of June 2020, Jiangtun town has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Jiangtun town is located at No. 2 Zhengtong West Road.
