Daxing Town, under the jurisdiction of Qidong City, Jiangsu Province, up to the end of 2003, has 1 neighborhood committee (Daxing town); 17 Village Committees (Hui'an, Linhe, Shusheng, Huihe, Jiedong, Shilian, nanqinghe, Xinjie, Songshi, Yingcai, Daxing Town, Baigang, Gonghe, nanhuiyang, Tai'an, Miaogang, Guoyuan). By the end of 2004, it had an area of 53.69 square kilometers and a population of 51552.

Characteristic industry

The "Sanshui Yigao" pear was introduced from Japan in 1995. It has the characteristics of neat fruit shape, large single fruit, golden color, tender and crisp, high moisture content, high sugar content (13%), few stone cells and good yield. After ten years of development, Daxing high quality pear industrialization science and technology demonstration park covers an area of 15000 mu, which is the largest pear production area in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It has been rated as the provincial agricultural science and technology demonstration park and the national agricultural investment promotion base.
