Zuomu Township

Zuomu township is located in Luliang Mountain Area in the west of Hongdong County, 30 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Longma Township and Wan'an town in the East, Puxian County in the west, Yaodu District in the South and Shantou Township in the north. The township has 10 village committees: Sanjiaohe, jijiashan, huojiazhuang, Zhongshe, zuomu, Lijiaping, wangjiaping, zhaizhuang, duanjiashan and Hongguang. More than 110 natural villages, 1636 households, 7322 people (2017). All of them are Han nationality.

The township government is located in liaoli. The township consists of several north-south mountains and rivers. The majestic Qinglong mountain lies in the east of the township, with a total length of more than 20 kilometers. It is called the top of Mount Tai at an altitude of 1332 meters. The highest peak in the township is houwa mountain, with an altitude of 1421 meters. Among the mountains in the countryside, there are seven small rivers converging into two seasonal rivers, the Yuli River in the South and the Sanjiao River in the north, all flowing into the Fenhe River from west to East. Hong (Dong) San (Jiaohe) highway is located in the north of the township from east to west. Hong (Dong) Yu (LI) highway is also the east-west trunk line, which is located in the south of the township. Due to the high terrain and short frost free period, the farming activities in the township are one season later than those at the foot of the mountain. Besides Sanjiaohe coal mine, there are huojiazhuang, Liugou, Wanhong, yulihe and other coal mines. In addition, there are abundant gypsum, iron ore and so on. The administrative area of the township is 90.02 square kilometers, with a total cultivated area of 881 hectares. The main crops are wheat, corn, millet and yam eggs. in terms of township enterprises, besides Sanjiaohe coal mine, the main enterprises include Hengfu group and Luhe group. In 2002, there were 16 schools in the town, including one junior middle school. There are 1 health center in each village. historically, Lijiaping village was once stationed in the Anti Japanese provisional county government. Secretary of the township party committee: Wenquan.
