Xinglong sub district office is located in the southeast of Central District of Jinan City, adjacent to Ganggou sub district office of Licheng District in the East, jinxiuchuan and Zhonggong sub district offices in the south, Shilihe sub district office in the West and Lixia Yaojia sub district office in the north.

Xinglong sub district office is located in the southeast of Central District of Jinan City, adjacent to Ganggou sub district office of Licheng District in the East, jinxiuchuan and Zhonggong sub district offices in the south, Shilihe sub district office in the West and Lixia Yaojia sub district office in the north, with a total area of 57 square kilometers. Established in April 2008, the office has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages with a total population of 25248 (2010). The area is mountainous and hilly, with a total forest area of more than 40000 mu. At present, there are 28000 mu of ecological forest, 7000 mu of economic forest and 15000 mu of barren hills, with a forest coverage rate of 24.6%.

Tourism

Rich in tourism resources, foyu, qingtongshan, Xinglong reservoir and other natural scenic spots are surrounded by mountains with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. In spring, there are yellow flowers everywhere, green trees, birds singing and flowers fragrant; in summer, there are waves of forest, gurgling streams and cool mountains; in autumn, there are red leaves all over the mountains, and the forests are dyed with fruits; in winter, the sun is direct and warm, which is an ideal place for tourism, leisure and summer. The Prajna Temple site in dongfoyu, built in the period of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, has a history of more than 1000 years. There are more than 20 statues of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and more than 30 cliff inscriptions. It is one of the scenic spots in Jinan. Huaijin tomb and Baiyunguan are both protected cultural relics at the district level. The dioecious ginkgo tree planted in Baiyunguan is more than 1300 years old, with a height of 24 meters and a diameter of 175 cm. It is one of the rare ancient and famous trees in the province. Doumu spring and Linji spring are among the 72 best springs in Jinan. Doumu spring, 548.7 meters above sea level, is the highest among the 72 springs. Three streams of spring water flow out of the cliff and converge into the square pool. It is crystal clear, pure and sweet. There are more than 20 springs such as Baihua spring and nanganlu spring, four or five hundred year old cheliangmu and Liriodendron, as well as the Doumu palace with blue brick, dark tile and flying arch eaves, which are surrounded by the stars and the moon. It is an ideal place for tourism.

Organization setup

Xinglong sub district office has six comprehensive offices. Namely: Party and Government Office (with the brand of Organization Department and Publicity Department), social affairs department, urban management department, economic development department, political and law department, family planning department. At the same time, the Commission for Discipline Inspection, the trade union, the Youth League Committee, the women's Federation and the people's Armed Forces Department shall be set up in accordance with relevant regulations.
