Xianfeng township is located in the south of Mianning County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, on the West Bank of Anning River. It covers an area of 62.5 square kilometers and has a population of 15163, including 3334 Yi people. The township government is located in group 3 of Shuanghe village.

General situation

Xianfeng township is located in the south of Mianning County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, on the West Bank of Anning River. It covers an area of 62.5 square kilometers and has a population of 15163, including 3334 Yi people. County Road Luhe road runs through the whole territory, Mianxian road is connected with it. The township government is 30 kilometers north of the county. It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages and 49 villager groups in Shuanghe, Xinglong, Baini, Zhonghe, bakou, Bagu, Changxin, Yangjia, Luoshi, Baixiang and Nanshan. The cultivated area is 13716.8 mu.

economic development

The main agricultural products are rice, barley, corn and rapeseed, with grain output of 3.429 million kg. The main cash crop is flue-cured tobacco. Animal husbandry is mainly pig, cattle, sheep and other breeding. The terrain is flat and the ditches are crisscross. From 2002 to 2004, comprehensive agricultural development was carried out, covering an area of 10000 mu. There is a health center and a veterinary station in the township.

Traffic conditions

The highway from Lugu town to riverside Township runs through the whole township. Mianxian highway (Mianning County Xianfeng township) is another highway from Lugu town to Mianning County in addition to national highway 108. The two rural roads diverge at the seat of the township government.

Educational conditions

There are 1 county key middle school (Lugu middle school) and 3 primary schools (Shuanghe primary school, Xinglong primary school and Nanshan primary school). Lugu middle school is located in group 2 of Shuanghe village.
