In the first year of the Republic of China, LAN urban and rural area belonged to Houjun district. In the 20th year of the Republic of China, Tancheng town was set up, and its jurisdiction includes the existing LAN urban and rural areas, belonging to one district. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, they were all under the jurisdiction of Tancheng town. In July 1950, Tancheng town and Zhonghu Township belonged to four districts; in March 1956, the merged District Township belonged to Tancheng town and Zhonghu Township belonged to beicuo district; in April 1958, Huxiang Township belonged to Tancheng town. Tancheng people's commune was established in 1961, renamed Hongxin people's commune in 1970, renamed Tancheng commune in 1978, and renamed Lancheng people's commune in September 1982. Economics
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Shapu was located in the East and northwest of Lancheng, with less arable land. The villages in zhuyukou harbor were mainly engaged in coastal beach fishery production. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, although the cultivated land was developed, the farmland was often damaged by wind and sand. After the closure of zhuyukou in 1960, the former Xiayu, Dongyu, yangchaoyu and other islands were staggered. The inner harbor of zhuyukou became land, increasing more than 10000 mu of land. In addition, a forest belt of 4000 meters long and 1000 meters wide was planted on Shapu in the west, and farmland was protected. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, a large number of immigrants moved to the beach land to improve the saline alkali land and build water conservancy, making the beach land an important grain producing area and a major vegetable production base in Pingtan County. The level of agricultural production ranks first in the county. In 1982, the total grain output was 3505 tons, accounting for 17.3% of the total grain output of the county, 1479 tons of vegetables and 571 tons of peanuts. Since the 1980s, we have made great efforts to expand the sideline industry of fishery and forestry, expand the beach culture in the western region, and cultivate clams, Meretrix meretrix and Meretrix meretrix, which are famous for producing clam seedlings. Rural industry has developed rapidly, with quarries, construction teams, wire factories, woodworking factories, wool mills, shipyards, and rapid development of gravel processing industry and real estate industry. In 1995, there were more than 70 rural industries in the township. In 1995, the total social output value of the township was 69.25 million yuan, the total industrial and agricultural output value was 40.18 million yuan, of which the total agricultural output value was 33.12 million yuan. The total grain output is 4509 tons, ranking first in the county.
