Fucheng town
Fucheng Town, subordinate to Fengyang County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, is the seat of Fengyang county Party committee and county government, and the political, economic and cultural center of the county. The total area of the town is about 174.72 square kilometers, and the urban area is 10.8 square kilometers. Historical evolution
Fu town has a long history. In the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, it was the territory of Zhongli state. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Haozhou Prefecture. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang originally planned to build the capital here, and built the world-famous central capital city. Standing in the center of the town is the Drum Tower of mingzhongdu, which is the crown of qiaolou in China. On May 10, 2007, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved Fengyang County to merge 26 towns into 14 towns and 1 township.
