Hubei Township
Hubi township of Shenchi county is located at the northern foot of Guancen mountain, 20 kilometers southwest of Shenchi County, surrounded by mountains in the southeast and West, Taipingzhuang Township in the East, Ningwu County in the south, Wuzhai County in the West and Yijing town in the north. The total area of the township is about 166000 mu, about 10.3km long from east to west and 12.7km wide from north to south. Hubi village, the seat of the township government, is only 6km away from the main highway, 20km away from Wuzhai county and 4km away from Ningke railway. The geographical environment is dangerous and the traffic is convenient.
Basic information
The township is located in mountainous and hilly areas, roughly north-south Sichuan type, rich in forest resources, a total of state-owned and collective natural forest, coniferous and broad-leaved forest area of 83000 mu, accounting for 50% of the total area of the township, the main species are larch, spruce, its wood is excellent, shrub forest there are birch, Aspen, hardwood and other dozens of species. Hubi township has fertile land with 3698 permanent residents (in 2017), 41800 mu of arable land, accounting for 25% of the total area, and 5.7 mu per capita. There are 11 natural villages with different mountains, rivers and climates. The main crops are naked oats, flax and peas. The frost free period is about 100 days, the average annual temperature is about 4.6 ℃, and the annual precipitation is about 470 mm. It is long and cold in winter, windy and sandy in spring, mild in summer and cool and rainy in autumn. there were 22 villages in the history of Hubi township. From the beginning of liberation to the time of co-operation, these villages gradually moved to form 11 villages. In 1984, the people's Government of Hubi township was established.
