Chengguan Township was once under the jurisdiction of dedu county. Located in the southwest of the county, it is a suburban township. The township government is located in Qingshan town. It was under the jurisdiction of Qingshan commune. In September 1966, the four production brigades of Wusan, Hexin, Qingshan and Longtou under the jurisdiction of Qingshan commune were set up to form suburban commune. In August 1981, it was renamed Chengguan commune. In the spring of 1984, it was changed to Chengguan Township. After the merger of dedu county and Wudalianchi City, it became a township of Wudalianchi city. Chengguan Township is located on both sides of nemur River, and the southwest is relatively flat. The total area of the township is 83 square kilometers. Cultivated land area of 35000 mu, mainly to produce food, grain, beans and vegetables diversified, is the county vegetable supply base. Township run industries include brick factories, iron factories, etc. The township has jurisdiction over six villages, including Wusan, deli, Qingshan, Hexin, Longtou and Longfeng. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 6158, of which Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 1%.
