Yanzhuang

Yanzhuang town is located in the north of Song County, 18 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Tianhu town in the East, Daping Township in the west, reservoir Township in the south, Yiyang County in the north. It is 20.7 kilometers long from east to west, 18.2 kilometers long from north to south, with a total area of 130.7 square kilometers and 4752 hectares of cultivated land. The town government is stationed in Yanzhuang. 　

Evolution of organizational system

Yanzhuang has a long history and is built in an ancient way. According to the local records in 1959, Wu Zetian visited Siyuan mountain (Xiyan mountain) in the first year of the Shengli reign of Tang Dynasty (698) and put luanqia in Yanzhuang, so it is named luanqia town. From the Five Dynasties, song, yuan and Ming Dynasties to the sixth year of tongzhi (1867) of the Qing Dynasty, it lasted 1169 years. In 1867, Wang Shujing led the public to synthesize eight villages, such as fenghuangtai, guduozhuang, luanqia town and yanjiazhuang, into one village (sanlisan outside Zhaili Village), and renamed Yanzhuang. In 1947, Song County was liberated and Yanzhuang district government was established. In June 1958, the district system was abolished and Yanzhuang township was established. In August, red flag (Yanzhuang) people's commune was established. In March 1960, the county was changed to Yanzhuang commune in Yichuan County. In September 1961, it returned to Song County as Yanzhuang District, which is divided into six small communes: Yanzhuang, yaowan, Taishanmiao, dongyuanyuan, Shanglou and yantun. In February 1963, Yanzhuang commune was rebuilt. In 1975, Songling, Daping, Dongyuan and other 18 brigades were set aside to build another Daping commune. In January 1984, Yanzhuang commune was changed to Yanzhuang township. In August 2006, he applied to the higher authorities for the removal of township to build a town. In 2008, after the experts' on-the-spot inspection and acceptance, the provincial government approved the removal of township to build a town, and the Provincial Department of civil affairs and the Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs approved the removal of Township to build a town.

Yanzhuang town is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, belonging to Xionger mountain area. There are Lubaozhai mountain (1492 meters above sea level), Xiyan mountain (864 meters above sea level) and Huoyan mountain. The main rivers are jiaojianchuan River and Fengyang river. The town is located between Nandaling, beidaling and jiaojianchuan, which is a typical shallow hilly area.

Yanzhuang has a superior geographical location, where luolu highway and Nanche highway meet. It is an important business town and an important agricultural products distribution center in Songbei.
