Mafang Town, which belongs to Yanling County, Xuchang City, Henan Province, is located 6 kilometers north of Yanling County. It has 41 administrative villages, 60000 people and 80000 mu of cultivated land, covering a total area of 71 square kilometers. Jixi Expressway passes through the territory, national highway 230 and pengxiao road run through the north and south, with convenient transportation, obvious location advantages, resource advantages and ecological advantages. Remove villages and establish towns

On December 22, 2017, the Department of civil affairs of Henan Province officially approved the "Xuchang Municipal People's government's request for instructions on the withdrawal of Mafang Township in Yanling County to build a town" (Xu Zhengwen [2017] No. 70). With the approval of the provincial people's government, Yanling County was approved to abolish Mafang Township and set up Mafang Town, implementing the system of town governing village, and the administrative region and government residence remained unchanged.
