Nancheng Street

Nancheng street is located in the south corner of the west of Yuntai, facing Kongwang mountain. It is the South Gate of Haizhou District of Lianyungang City. The town borders Yuntai Mountain in the East, Ninghai street in the south, Jinping Town in the west, and the urban area in the north. It covers a total area of 4.8 square kilometers and has a population of 10985.

history

Nancheng was built in the northern and Southern Dynasties. It was once named Linhai Town, donghaizhou and phoenix city. Because it is opposite to Beicheng (today's Xugou) across Yuntai Mountain, it is named Nancheng. It was once the seat of Qi county and Beihai county. It was established in 1948. Nancheng, known as Penglai on the sea, is a Japanese Resort and an important coastal defense town. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was connected with land. As early as the northern and Southern Dynasties, Liu Shanming, the governor of the Southern Song Dynasty, built a stone city in Nancheng during the Yuan Hui period. In the 13th year of Zhenguan reign of Tang Dynasty, Nancheng was revived. There are imperial palace of the Ming Dynasty, ancient Phoenix Tower, Town God's Temple ruins, Shimen, Tianchi and so on.
