Dongye town is located in the southeast of Yangcheng County, 21 kilometers away from the county, which is an economically underdeveloped town. It is adjacent to Manghe town along Jianhe river in the west, dalingtou in the South and Jiyuan City in Henan Province, and Beiliu town and baisang Township in the north. Yangji highway passes through the town and Houyue railway runs through the northeast edge, which is the South Gate of our county to the Central Plains. The town governs 33 administrative villages and 322 natural villages (121 of which are uninhabited), with a total population of 21398 (2017), ranking fourth only to Fengcheng, Beiliu and Runcheng. With a total area of 259.32 square kilometers, it is the largest town in the county. The industry is mainly based on traditional agricultural production, supplemented by traditional mining and smelting industry.
economic development
In 2009, the total rural economic income of the town reached 302 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%; the total output value of township enterprises reached 196 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%; the per capita net income of farmers reached 4521 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8%. Agriculture: in recent years, on the basis of stabilizing the production of grain and oil, our town has put forward and adhered to the general idea of "stabilizing mulberry, planting fruit and invigorating livestock" in agricultural production adjustment, and paid close attention to the construction of characteristic agricultural base. The mulberry garden area of the town reaches 7500 mu, with 950000 mulberry plants on the ridge. It can raise 7000 silkworms a year, with an annual income of more than 7 million yuan, becoming the third largest sericulture production town after Ciying and Sitou. With waste mulberry branches as raw materials, 10 villagers in 4 villages develop more than 80 mushroom breeding greenhouses, with an annual income of more than 100000 bags, with an annual income of more than 10000 yuan. Eight professional cooperatives of sericulture, minor cereals, dried fruit forest, pig and chicken were established, benefiting more than 2000 farmers. industry: our town is rich in iron ore and limestone resources, mining and smelting industry has been the leading industry of our town for a long time, known as the "hometown of smelting and casting". However, restricted by the national environmental protection policy, all 12 smelting blast furnaces and 77 mining sites in the town were shut down in 2007. At this juncture, the Party committee and government took two major measures to promote the transformation and development of industry. There are 16 new projects, with an estimated total investment of 600 million yuan, of which 420 million yuan has been introduced. Eleven non coal enterprises, including four calcium oxide plants with a total investment of 40 million yuan, Kejie building materials plant with an annual output of 15 million new coal gangue environmental protection bricks, Xinhui glass products plant, thermal insulation material plant and Xincheng chemical plant, have been built and put into operation one after another. Caixin metal calcium magnesium Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Shanghai Jinsheng Energy Co., Ltd. and caijiecun, with a design scale of 30000 tons and an estimated total investment of 240 million yuan. The project started construction in 2008 with an investment of 110 million yuan. The first phase of the production line with an annual output of 10000 tons was completed and put into trial production in November 2009, The second phase projects of rotary kiln and gas generator of magnesium and magnesium alloy production line are being improved; Donglian metal calcium magnesium Co., Ltd. has invested more than 8 million yuan, and has completed civil engineering, mechanical equipment installation, site hardening, source road laying and other works. Now it is improving the power line planning and erection and some finishing projects, and is expected to put into trial production in October.
Second, biomass power generation projects.
It has invested more than 4 million yuan, completed the approval of the project feasibility study, environmental impact assessment, planning, land, electricity and water use permit, and the "three links and one leveling" civil engineering of the site. Now it is making full efforts to attract investment and promote the construction as soon as possible.
Third, Chengnan coal industry project.
With a total investment of 110 million yuan, it has completed the construction of main and auxiliary inclined shafts and main ground infrastructure. In 2009, it was packaged and integrated by Jinmei group, and officially entered the mine to carry out work. The evaluation work is in progress.
