Xigou Township
Xigou Township, belonging to Haidong citizen and Hui and Tu Autonomous County of Qinghai Province, is adjacent to Bazhou town in the East, Gushan town in the south, Hualong County in the West and lierbu town in the north, with an administrative area of 117 square kilometers.
In 1952, Xigou management area was established; in 1958, it was changed into Xigou commune. In 1985, when the min and Hui Autonomous County was established, the township was relocated to the West Valley Hui Autonomous County. In 2002, the East Valley Township was merged into the West Valley Township when the town was relocated and the town was sold. At the end of 2018, the population of 23630 registered residence in the West Valley Township was 18.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Xigou township was 4219 yuan; in 2018, there were 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Xigou township.
History of construction
In 1952, Xigou management area was established.
In 1958, it was changed into Xigou commune.
In 1985, when Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County was established, it was changed into Xigou Hui Township.
In 2002, Donggou township was merged into Xigou township.

Xigou township is located at the foot of the south mountain of the Laji mountains. It belongs to the shallow Nao mountain area. It is located in the Huangshui River Valley. The Bazhou river passes through the rural area. The terrain is mainly valleys and hills, and the groundwater resources are extremely rich. The "three townships and one town" drinking project originates from the hinterland of Xigou, commonly known as the "water tower" of Minhe.
