Xiying town

Xiying Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Liangzhou District, with Songshu town in the East, Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County in the south, Sunan Yugur Autonomous County in the West and Kangning town and Yongfeng town in the north. The area is 75.70 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in West Camp Town was 23963.

Xiying town is named for its ancient "Xiba jieying fort". In September 1949, it belonged to Xiying district. In January 1956, it was in Songshu and Xiying township. In August 2002, Hongxing moved from township to town. As of June 2020, Xiying town has one community and 16 administrative villages. The people's Government of the town is stationed in the village.

In 2018, Xiying town has 3 industrial enterprises and 25 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

From the Western Han Dynasty to the Wei Dynasty, Xiying town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County.

From the Western Jin Dynasty to the "five cool" period of the Sixteen States, it belonged to Yanran county and Wuxing county respectively.

From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong county and Xiangcheng County of Wuwei County.

During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it belonged to Shenniao county.

Yuan, Yongchang Road is West Liangzhou.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Xiying and fengle township of Wuwei County.

In September 1949, it belonged to Xiying district.

In July 1952, it belonged to the seventh district (Xiying).

In January 1956, it was in Songshu and Xiying township.

In October 1958, Xiying and Songshu townships merged to form Xiying commune.

In 1962, it was divided into Xiying, Songshu and Hongxing communes.

In July 1983, Xiying and Hongxing townships were set up.

In January 1986, Hongxing township was merged into Xiying township.

In November 1991, it was divided into Hongxing Township and Xiying township.

In August 2002, Hongxing moved from township to town.

In July 2004, Xiying Township and Hongxing town were merged into Xiying town.
