Machang town

Machang town is located in the southeast of Taikang County, adjacent to Zhecheng County in the East, Zhangji and fucaolou townships in the south, Maozhuang and Chengjiao townships in the West and gaolang in the north. The area is 10 kilometers long from north to South and 12.5 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 100.2 square kilometers (in 2017), 99200 mu of arable land, and the town government is 14 kilometers away from the county. The town governs 43 administrative villages and 182 natural villages with 53913 people (in 2017), which is rich in labor resources.

The town is a typical agricultural town, rich in agricultural products resources. The production situation of traditional Chinese medicine is gratifying. The town implements more than 2000 mu of traditional Chinese medicine, such as Erhua, banlanjiao, Baishao, etc. The town set up a Chinese herbal medicine development office, responsible for technology and sales services.

The town has 56 large and small enterprises. The PVC transparent plastic co developed by Fuda plastic factory and Zhengzhou University, the party secretary project with an investment of more than 1 million yuan, fills the gap in the province. The powder mixed with sulfur and phosphorus produced by Machang branch of Taikang No.1 Chemical Plant is exported to both inside and outside the province.
