Maojiawan town

Maojiawan town is under the jurisdiction of Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province.

Maojiawan town is located in the southwest mountainous area of Yuanqu County. It borders Wenxi and Xiaxian counties in the southwest and Gaoluo, Changzhi and Jieyu counties in the northeast. The town covers an area of 193 square kilometers, with a cultivated area of 16515 mu. There are two mountains, Waitoushan and tangwangshan, and a main river, Banjianhe. There are many gullies, mainly mountains. The main roads in the town are 8.3 km of Beicheng Road, 11.8 km of Maochang Road, 4.8 km of South circular road and 4 km of Maoshi road. There are 93.9 kilometers of hardened village roads and roadways in the town.

Agriculture

The main crops in the town are grain crops, oil crops, tobacco leaves and vegetables, including 26515 mu of grain crops, 165 mu of oil crops, 2008 mu of tobacco leaves and 255 mu of vegetables. Tobacco leaves were distributed in Changjian, zhengjialing, Liujia, Qingquan, Zhujia and forest farm. 11 large-scale growers will be developed to form an industrial mode dominated by tobacco, mulberry, pepper and bee. The ratio of crops to cash crops is 4:6, the total grain output is 2.79 million jin, the per capita income of farmers is 1617 yuan, and the gross output value is 31.87 million yuan.

Three agricultural demonstration parks have been built in the town: Forest Farm, Zhujia and zhengjialing 3000 mu pepper and walnut base; zhengjialing and Qingquan 1000 mu tobacco base; Zhujia and zhengjialing 300 mu sericulture base.
