Xinhua Street sub district office is located in the north of Pingcheng District, Datong City, covering an area of 10 square kilometers. It starts from Xinjian North Road in the south, Tongfeng Road (3528 north wall) in the north, Dongbao Station North Street to railway, Wulidian and Xinmin village in the West. There are 90687 residents (in 2010). There are 13 community neighborhood committees in the street, with Datong Railway Sub Bureau, Shanxiang group company, Taiyuan Railway Engineering No.2 office, Taiping Railway Engineering No.2 office, Taiping Railway Engineering Co., Ltd There are more than 50 companies, including Jianan general company, and two troops stationed in the street (radar regiment and low artillery brigade).

In 2003, yuexiuyuan community party branch was awarded the title of "national advanced grassroots party organization for preventing atypical pneumonia" by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. The economic work has reached a new level in successive years. The community construction has achieved remarkable results, and the advantages of CO residence and co construction have been further enhanced. Shanxiang community neighborhood committee has been awarded the title of "community construction" by the provincial government and the Provincial Department of civil affairs "Advanced unit" was rated as "advanced collective of community volunteers" by the Ministry of civil affairs of the people's Republic of China. In 2001, the sub district office was rated as "national advanced community of urban sports" by the General Administration of sports of the people's Republic of China. The cause of science popularization has been further developed. Shanxiang community neighborhood committee has been rated as "Datong science popularization demonstration community" by the Municipal Association for science and technology, and other work has also taken the lead. The sixth community neighborhood committee has been rated as "advanced adjustment committee" by the Ministry of justice of the people's Republic of China. In 2000, the sub district office was rated as "the advanced unit of the fourth and fifth population census in Shanxi Province", and in April 2004, it was rated as "the advanced unit of double support" by the municipal Party committee and municipal government.
