Gangou Township, belonging to Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, is located in the north of Hebei Province, bordering Jianchang County and Suizhong County in Liaoning Province in the East and North, sanxingkou Township in the South and mutuodeng town in the West. The administrative area is 88 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of GD was 10041.
In 1949, it belonged to the wooden stool district; in 1961, the Xianfeng commune built the Gangou commune; in 1984, the commune was abolished and the Gangou township was restored. As of June 2020, Gangou township has nine administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is stationed in Gangou village.
