Daying Town

Daying Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xiong County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is managed by xiong'an new district. It is located in the south of Xiong County, 11.7 kilometers away from the county in the north, adjacent to Mingang town in the East and Southeast, zhugezhuang town across the spillway in the south, Baigou new town in the northwest, beishakou Township in the north, and mijiajia town in the northeast. The maximum distance from east to west is 7 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.05 kilometers, with a total area of 61.37 square kilometers. In late 2018, the total registered residence of Daying Town was 9706.

In May of 1940, it was divided into Xiongxian county. In 1958, Daying people's commune was established. In 1984, it was restored to Daying township. In August 1994, Daying township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Daying Town has jurisdiction over 36 new administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Daying village.

In 2013, the total agricultural output value of Daying Town was 1.52 billion yuan, the per capita net income of farmers was 7529 yuan, and the total industrial output value was 1.6 billion yuan. In 2018, there were 50 industrial enterprises in Daying Town, including 3 large-scale enterprises and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In May of 1940, it was divided into Xiongxian county.

In 1945, there were three districts in Xiongxian County, and the district office was stationed in Daying village.

In 1950, it was changed into the Second District, later known as Daying district.

In 1953, Daying township was established.

In 1958, Daying people's commune was established.

In 1984, it was restored to Daying township.

In August 1994, Daying township was transformed into a town.

In 1996, Ximin township was incorporated into the city.
