Chengguan Town

Chengguan Town, belonging to Huangyuan County, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located at the east foot of the Riyue mountain range, the south foot of the Arctic mountain, and the shore of the Huangshui River. It is adjacent to Dongxia Township in the East, Heping Township in the south, and Shenzhong Township in the West. The area is 29.31 square kilometers. In 2018, there were 41413 registered residence population.

Chengguan town was originally the city of tangar in Qing Dynasty. In 1938, dangar city was renamed Huangyang town. On September 8, 1949, Huangyang town was liberated, its organizational system was abolished and Chengguan District was established. In September 1953, Chengguan town was established. In 2006, suburbs and townships were merged. As of October 2019, Chengguan town has 8 communities and 8 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 105 industrial enterprises in Chengguan town and 28 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

At the end of 2011, Chengguan Town governed eight community residents committees, namely nanxiaodao, Wan'an, Wanfeng, Renmin Street, Chengtai, Xidajie, Xiguan Street and Chengjiao, and eight villagers committees, namely Guanghua, nalongkou, helatai, Yongxing, Wanfeng, gazhuang, dongjiazhuang and Guoguang.

As of October 2019, Chengguan town has 8 communities: Chengtai community, Renmin Street community, nanxiaodao community, Wan'an street community, Wanfeng community, Xidajie community, Xiguan Street community and suburban community; 8 administrative villages: Yongxing Village, Wanfeng village, nalongkou village, helatai village, Guoguang village, Guanghua village, gazhuang village and dongjiazhuang village.
