Maxinzhuang Township
Maxinzhuang township is located in the east of Huairen City, facing Yunzhou District of Datong City across the Yuhe River in the East, connecting Hetou Township in the south, Haibeitou Township in the West and Maozao town in the north. There are 17 villages in the township with a permanent population of 5013 people (2017). The total area is 127.2 square kilometers, with 71717 mu of arable land, including 18600 mu of irrigated land.

The township is a typical pure agricultural township, with planting and breeding as the leading industries. In 2010, the total grain output of the township was 22.4 million jin, and the total rural economic income of the township was 110 million yuan, including 35 million yuan from planting, 26 million yuan from animal husbandry, and 4900 yuan from per capita net income of farmers. there are seven reservoirs along the Kouquan River, among which xiamizhuang, Magang and Mazhuang reservoirs can be used for irrigation. There are 51 irrigation wells and 20000 meters of underground pipeline in the township. The total area of forest land in the township is 39838 mu, including 21161 mu of forest reform area, 6878 mu of wind and sand source control area, and 11800 mu of returning farmland to forest area. there are 12 schools in the township, including 1 boarding primary school, 11 village primary schools, 93 teachers, 41 substitute teachers and 7 kindergarten teachers. There are 499 students in the township, including 338 students above grade three who study in Lugou boarding primary school. there are 12 villages in the township with tap water.
