Xinhua Street

Xinhua sub district office is located in the central city of Nanyang City, Henan Province, bounded by moat in the north and East, and connected with Dongguan Street, Renmin Road in the west, and Meixi street in Wolong District; Baihe in the south, and Zaolin street across the river. With a total area of 2.5 square kilometers and a total population of 28398 (2010), it is a multi-functional community integrating tourism, shopping, leisure, entertainment, fitness, study, work and life.

Evolution of organizational system

Xinhua street was built in 1956, commune was set up in 1958, and street was changed in 1980. In 1997, it covers an area of 1.4 square kilometers and has a population of 41000. It has jurisdiction over 12 neighborhood committees, including xiaodongguan, xiaoxiguan, Jiefang Road, Minquan, Minzhu, Wenzheng, Lianhe, posts and telecommunications, Wofosi, Wangfushan, Gongnong Road and Dajing. 152 resident groups.
