Dongfeng Street

Dongfeng Street (which was merged into Liurong Street on March 15, 2013) is located in the northwest of Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, with a total area of 1.4 square kilometers and 11 neighborhood committees. The community has a total population of 12102 households and 42876 people (2010). There are nearly 2000 registered temporary residents.

Dongfeng area is a commercial residential area integrating finance, catering, education, leisure and tourism. There are abundant resources of education, health and tourism within the jurisdiction. Among them, there are 12 teaching units from kindergartens to universities; 4 medical institutions such as Guangzhou first people's Hospital; Guangxiao temple, a famous Buddhist holy land in Guangdong Province; more than 30 entertainment places and large hotels; 16 high-end office buildings; liuhuahu Park, Guangzhou Children's palace, Guangdong Academy of painting and other famous cultural activities.

Street merging

On January 23, 2013, Yuexiu District announced the merger of some streets. Among them, Dongfeng Street and Liurong Street are merged into new Liurong street, with an area of 2.04 square kilometers and a total population of 101200 people. On March 15, 2013, new Liurong street was officially listed and Dongfeng Street office was officially cancelled. All the communities under the former Dongfeng Street were transferred to the jurisdiction of Liurong street.

Jurisdiction

The original Dongfeng Street has jurisdiction over 11 communities: liuhuahu, sifangtang, denixin village, pansongyuan, pengjiaxiang, Dijin, liangtingfang, simafang, yingshouli, Jiaheyuan and simayong. from March 15, 2013, all the above communities are under the jurisdiction of Liurong sub district office.
