Xishuijie township is located in the northern mountainous area of Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, 17 kilometers away from Jingping Town, the seat of the district government. It is connected with xiangyangbao Township in the East, Jingping town in the south, shuangnian Township in the West and Fenghuang town in the north. It covers 209.69 square kilometers and has 34 village committees and 37 natural villages. The resident population was 3249 (2017). Our township is located in the hilly area of the Loess Plateau, with an average altitude of 1500 meters and a relative elevation difference of 200 meters. There are many gullies, steep mountains, and the geological structure is mostly calcareous shale and limestone. Xishuijie township is an inland monsoon climate, with annual rainfall of 430mm, nine droughts in ten years, frost free period of 105 days, large solar radiation and sufficient light. Tianmen Mountain
Tianmen Mountain is one of the eight ancient scenic spots in Pinglu. 1. As an ancient eight sceneries, Tianmen Huancui occupies a very important position in history. It is not only a concentration of traditional culture, but also a thoroughfare and throat connecting Jin and Meng, and also a pass and main road controlled by military departments in all dynasties. Therefore, it has a great influence in Jin, Meng, Ji and Shan. Although devastated by the war, cultural relics still exist. Up to now, tourists from the surrounding provinces often come and go, and incense is constantly burning. 2. In the history of Pinglu, only Tianmen Mountain is closest to Jingping. From the commanding height of Jingping Town, where the district government is located, you can have a panoramic view of Tianmen Mountain. It is of great significance to build Tianmen Mountain scenic spot to enhance the urban quality of Pinglu and improve the surrounding environment of the city. 3. According to the overall plan for the development of tourism and cultural industry, the Jingping Beigushan tourism line (also known as the north line) has a journey of 40 kilometers, and the current line is long. Tianmen Mountain is just the first and very important node on this line, and its cultural heritage is no less than that of Beigushan and Wulong cave.
