Seman Township
Seman Township, which belongs to Kashgar City in Kashgar region of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Kashgar City. It is connected with xiamalebage town in the East, pahatakeli Township in the south, Langan township of Shufu County in the West and wasteland Township in the north. It is 6.7 km away from Kashgar City, with a total area of 35 square kilometers.
Before 1949, Seman township was under the jurisdiction of Shufu County; in 2004, Seman township was re assigned to Kashi City. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the township was 22552. In 2019, semun rural area governs 10 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in akewuyira village.

History of construction
Before 1949, Seman township was under the jurisdiction of Shufu county.
In 1950, it belonged to Seman District of Shufu county.
In March 1958, it was transferred to Kashgar City and the Seman commune was established.
In 1964, it returned to Shufu county.
In August 1984, Seman commune was transformed into Seman township.
In 2004, Seman township was returned to Kashi City.
