Gaizilik town

Gaizilik Town, belonging to Keping County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Keping county. It borders Keping Town, yuerqi Township and achalar Township in the East, Bachu County in Kashi Prefecture in the south, Atushi city in Kirgiz Prefecture in the west, and Aheqi County in Kirgiz Prefecture in the north. In 2018, it has a regional area of 3342.9 square meters 6 square kilometers, registered residence 16132 people.

At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was called shangliuqing. Before 1949, it was called Xinyi township. In 1951, it was changed into zone 1. In 1958, it was changed into a commune. In 1984, it was changed to township. On October 21, 2014, the people's Government of the autonomous region agreed to abolish the organizational system of gaizilik Township in Keping county and establish gaizilik Town, with its administrative boundaries, government residences and affiliation unchanged. As of October 2019, gaizilik town has 11 administrative villages.
