Summer Ha town

Xiariha Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Dulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, is located in the northeast of Dulan county. It is adjacent to Gonghe County and Chaka town of Wulan County in Hainan Province in the East, Reshui town and Chahanwusu town in the south, and Keke town of Wulan County in the West and North. The administrative area is 3153 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, the registered residence of summer town was 5611. As of October 2019, xiariha town has one community and nine administrative villages.

In 2018, xiariha town has 3 industrial enterprises and 9 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

During the period of the Republic of China, xiariha area was the pasture of guomi tribe.

In 1950, xiariha township of Dulan county was established.

In 1954, it was under the jurisdiction of the Second District of Dulan county.

In 1958, it was renamed Xiaguo Township, governing xiariha, guomi and other places.

In April 1959, it was under the jurisdiction of Dongfeng commune.

In July 1962, xiariha commune was established; in November of the same year, it was also called xiariha township.

In 1968, it was renamed xiariha commune. It has five production brigades in Hebei, Henan, guomi, Chachaxiangka and xiatara.

In 1984, xiariha township was restored, the production brigade was abolished, and the villagers' committee was established.

In 1990, the township had seven villagers' committees, namely Chacha, Hebei, Henan, guomi, xiatara, Xinle and Shazhuyu.

On February 21, 2001, xiariha town was established.

Xiariha town is located in the northeast of Dulan County, adjacent to Gonghe County and Chaka town of Wulan County in Hainan Province in the East, Reshui town and Chahanwusu town in the south, and Keke town of Wulan County in the West and North. The administrative area is 3153 square kilometers.

In summer, the average annual temperature in Ha town is 21 ℃, the average temperature in January is - 11.7 ℃, and the average temperature in July is 14.8 ℃. The frost free period is 102 days and the forage growing period is 165 days. The average annual precipitation is 240.8 mm. The average sunshine hours are 2982 hours, the annual solar radiation is 161.91 kcal / cm2, the evaporation and the humidity coefficient are 583 mm and 0.635 mm respectively, which belong to arid climate.

There are two rivers in xiariha Town, Shaliu River and xiariha River, which are the main water sources for agriculture and animal husbandry irrigation and drinking water. In addition, the groundwater resources of angutan are abundant, and the surface water and groundwater quality are good, which is an ideal source of drinking water and irrigation water.

In the total population, there are 3140 males, accounting for 52.5%; 2836 females, accounting for 47.5%; 1434 persons under 18 years old, accounting for 23.9%; 2136 persons between 18 and 35 years old, accounting for 35.7%; 2056 persons between 35 and 60 years old, accounting for 34.4%; 350 persons over 60 years old, accounting for 6%. The population density is 1.9 per square kilometer.

Economics

In 2011, the planting area of grain crops in xiariha town was 11000 mu, with an output of 3234.1 tons; the planting area of oil plants was 7000 mu, with an output of 709.6 tons; the planting area of wolfberry was 0.5 mu, with 12 tons of fresh fruit; and the output of potato was 345 tons. In 2011, there were 117000 livestock on hand at the end of the year, including 72000 school-age female livestock, accounting for 62% of the total livestock; 56000 livestock were sold, accounting for 54%; 47000 livestock were sold, accounting for 45.6%; 20000 cattle and sheep were fattened. In 2011, the construction of ecological animal husbandry in guomi and Chacha villages, with a supporting special fund of 200000 yuan per village, purchased 17 breeding male yaks, produced 181 ewes, and transferred 150000 mu of grassland. There are more than 300 livestock sheds, 25 net fences, 1260 mu of forage (alfalfa) and 32 grassland reservoirs. 140 herdsmen in guomi village and 184 herdsmen in Chacha village joined the ecological animal husbandry cooperatives, accounting for 80.5% and 80.7% of the total herdsmen in the village respectively.

In summer, g109 highway passes through Ha town.

History and culture

"Xiariha" is Mongolian, which means "light yellow" in Chinese. It is named after the light yellow desert in the north of xiariha.
