Xiewu town
Xiewu Town, subordinate to Chengduo County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the southeast of Chengduo County, bordering Shiqu County, Sichuan Province in the East, Yushu County across the river in the south, Labu Township and Zhenqin town in the northwest. In 2018, the area of huwu town was 725.72 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 5879.
In October 2019, Xiewu town governs one community and seven administrative villages.
Xiewu town has 8354.4 mu of agricultural cultivated land, 1087000 mu of natural grassland, including 762000 mu of usable grassland. In 2011, there were 56818 livestock in stock at the end of the year, including 16826 cattle, 52 horses, 21657 sheep and 18283 goats. The per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen was 998.3 yuan.
Historical evolution
In 1957, Xiewu township was set up, which was subordinate to Yushu county.
In 1958, it was put under the jurisdiction of Chengduo county and was still called Xiewu township.
In 1959, Xiewu commune was established.
In 1963, it was changed to Xiewu township.
In 1970, it was changed into Xiewu commune.
In 1984, Xiewu township was restored.
On October 15, 2001, Xiewu township was abolished and Xiewu town was established.

Xiewu town is located in the north of Tongtian River, with many mountains and beaches. The terrain is complex. The terrain gradually inclines from northwest to Southeast. There is Yankou mountain with little fluctuation in the north and Tongtian River Valley in the south. The average altitude is about 3200 meters.

There are six monasteries in xiasaiba, nizong, shangsaiba, Bagan, duogan and Gewu, monuments in Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve, dangba, zengtou hot springs, guitoushan and other scenic spots.
Duogan temple, also known as Xiewu Shengan temple, is located on the mountainside of kangeran mountain in North Xiewu. To the north, it is 52 kilometers to Zhenqin Zhujie temple, 69 kilometers to the county seat, 49 kilometers to Jiegu town in the south, and 92 kilometers to Shiqu County in Sichuan Province in the East. It was originally a small temple of Ningma school. In 1265 ad, because basiba had been active in Xiewu, he changed to Sakya sect. The temple was approved to open on June 8, 1981. Now, one Sutra hall, more than 40 monk houses and 30 monks are rebuilt. In August 2012, a large-scale reincarnation ceremony of the 16th Dora living Buddha was held, and the living Buddha certificate was issued.
