The registered residence of the city is located in Tongren City, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai province. It is located in the northern part of the city, east of the long government town of the state capital, the southern town of Long Wu, and the West with lanzai township. In 1953, three districts of Tongren County were set up, all of which were under its jurisdiction. In 1956, it was established as the capital of Hu Township, Guo Mari Township and Qu Ma Township. In 1958, the three townships were merged into Feiyue commune. In 1961, it was renamed Nianduhu commune. In 1984, it was changed to Nianduhu township. As of October 2019, Nianduhu village has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

In 2011, the annual planting area of grain in Duhu township was 16000 mu, producing 2367.7 tons of grain, and the planting area of cash crops was 5000 mu.

Historical evolution

"Nianduhu" means "dangerous place and fortress" in Tibetan. It is said that it was formed in 1210 when Genghis Khan's army invaded the south.
