Chuma Township, belonging to Hualong Hui Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the east of Hualong Hui Autonomous County, bordering Jinyuan Township in the East, gandu town in the south, shidacang Township in the west, and Xiamen town in Minhe County in the north. It is 25 thousand meters away from the county seat of Hualong Hui Autonomous County, with a total area of 188.89 square kilometers.
In 1950, Meijia township was established. In 1984, Chuma commune was transformed into Chuma township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the township was 8543. In 2019, Chuma Township governs 16 administrative villages and zhaxizhuang village, the seat of the people's government.

History of construction
In 1950, Meijia township was established.
In 1956, Meijia township was merged into shaerdong township.
In 1958, shaerdong Township set up Jinyuan and Chengdong commune.
In 1962, Chuma commune was established.
In 1984, Chuma commune was transformed into Chuma township.
