Sunrang Township

Xunrang township is under the jurisdiction of Datong Hui and Tu Autonomous County, Xining City, Qinghai Province. Xunrang township is located in naoshan area in the northwest of Datong County, bordering Chengguan town in the East, blissful Township in the south, Niangniang mountains in the West and Duolin town in the north. The people's government is stationed in Xunbu village. The administrative area of xundiang township is 128 square kilometers. In late 2018, 12720 people registered residence in the countryside.

In 1951, two townships, xundiang Shangxiang and xundiang Xiaxiang, were established under the jurisdiction of two districts. In 1956, except xialangjia, which was sent to the countryside by xundiang, was assigned to Duolin Township, Longqu to Chengguan Town, and Tawa and Beisi to Qixiang Township, the rest merged with xundiang Shangxiang to form xundiang township. In 1958, it belonged to Hongqi commune, and later it was changed into Duolin commune. In 1961, it was called sunrang commune. In 1984, it was changed into a Tuzu Township in xundiang. On November 6, 1985, it was changed to xundiang township. In October 2019, xundiang Township governs 13 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in xundiang township.

Historical evolution

In 1951, two townships, xundiang Shangxiang and xundiang Xiaxiang, were established under the jurisdiction of two districts.

In 1956, except xialangjia, which was sent to the countryside by xundiang, was assigned to Duolin Township, Longqu to Chengguan Town, and Tawa and Beisi to Qixiang Township, the rest merged with xundiang Shangxiang to form xundiang township.

In 1958, it belonged to Hongqi commune, and later it was changed into Duolin commune.

In 1961, it was called sunrang commune.

In 1984, it was changed into a Tuzu Township in xundiang.

On November 6, 1985, it was changed to xundiang township.
