Wangqi town
Wangqi Town, belonging to Lintan County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located on the east edge of Lintan county and the West Bank of Taohe River. It is adjacent to baozi Township, Minxian County, Dingxi City, Taoyan Township, Zhuoni County in the East, Weixin Township, Minxian County, Dingxi City in the south, dianzi Township in the west, and Shimen Township in the north. It covers an area of 134.84 square kilometers. In 2018, 12283 people registered residence.
In 1949, Chen Qi township was established. In 1958, it was incorporated into Taoyang commune. In 1962, Chenqi commune and wangjiafen commune were established. In 1971, it was renamed Longyuan commune. In 1983, it was changed into Chenqi Township and Longyuan township. In September 2006, Shaxiao Longyuan Township and Chenqi Township were merged and named Wangqi township. In June 2020, Wangqi town governs 15 administrative villages.
In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Wangqi town and six comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
