Songming town

Songming town is subordinate to Hezheng County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. It borders Guanghe county and baisong township of Kangle County in the southeast, Taizishan forest in the south, Xinzhuang Township in the West and Dalang Township in the north. The area is 67 square kilometers. In 2018, 19235 people registered residence.

In 1940, it was a comity town. In 1949, it was changed into comity zone. In 1954, diaotan township was established. In August 1958, it was incorporated into Chengguan commune. On December 15, 1961, it was called diaotan commune. In 1983, it was set as diaotan township. In July 2010, the township was removed to build a town, which was called Songming town. In October 2019, Songming town governs nine administrative villages.

In 2018, there were four industrial enterprises in Songming town and one comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In October 2019, Songming town has nine administrative villages: langtuquan village, diaotan village, Zhongxin village, dashanzhuang village, Ketuo village, cheba village, bianpo village, Xinji village and Hualin village; the town people's government is stationed in Ketuo village.

Songming town is located in danancha valley. The highest point of dahualiang is located in diaotan village, 2300m above sea level; the lowest point is in cheba Village Valley, 2100m above sea level.

Animal husbandry is mainly for raising cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. There are 4374 cattle, 17433 sheep and 2770 live pigs on hand. The amount of poultry raised is 35000. The per capita net income of farmers is 2424 yuan.
