AWU town
AWU Town, belonging to Dangchang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Dangchang county. It is adjacent to Hadapu town in the East, Hadapu town in the south, mazichuan Township, Min County, Dingxi City in the West and mazichuan Township, Min County, Dingxi City in the north. It is 45 kilometers away from Dangchang County, with a total area of 77.77 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), AWU town was called xidie township; in 2016, AWU township was changed into AWU town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 12096. As of June 2020, AWU town has 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of AWU town is stationed in Longcun.
The main food crops in AWU town are potatoes and wheat, and the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, AWU town has four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1912, xidie township was established.
After 1949, there were bielong, rakishi and Gelong townships in the territory.
In September 1958, Baishi Township, niujiaxiang and Bailong town jointly built Bailong commune.
In 1961, Bailong commune established AWU commune.
In November 1983, AWU commune was transformed into AWU township.
In 2016, AWU township was changed from township to town.
