Guiqingshan town

Guiqingshan town is located in the southeast of Zhangxian County, Gansu Province, with an average altitude of 2012 meters. With an area of 132 square kilometers and a population of 11940 (2017), it belongs to the continental monsoon climate. It's an administrative town. There is Guiqing mountain scenic spot. Guiqing Mountain National Forest Park is a national AAAA scenic spot, historically known as "Guiqing fairyland". It is composed of two scenic spots, Guiqing mountain and Guiqing gorge. It is the leading natural landscape scenic spot in Gansu Province, 36 kilometers away from Zhangxian county. In 2016, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved the abolition of caotan Township and the establishment of Guiqingshan town.

Caohe township was established in 1950, changed to Yanghe commune in 1958, changed to Caohe commune in 1965, and changed to township in 1984. In 1996, it covers an area of 67 square kilometers and has a population of 6000. It governs nine administrative villages, namely Yanghe, tielu, Caoji, mamisi, Gaoshan, neng'an, ludigou, sanyanquan and shezhanli.? The villages of Yanghe, tielu, Caoji and Gaoshan were under the jurisdiction of caotan Township, the villages of ludigou, sanyanquan and shezhan were under the jurisdiction of Shichuan Township, and the villages of mamisi were under the jurisdiction of Sizu township.

The scenic spots include Guiqingshan Forest Park, etc. Guiqing mountain is located in Zhangxian County, Gansu Province, with the main peak 72 km away from the county seat. It's a beautiful place with lots of mountains. Historically known as "Xiaohuashan" and "Guiqing fairyland" in Longzhong, it is now a provincial forest park and a national AAAA scenic spot in Gansu Province. The scenic spot covers an area of 32000 mu, which is composed of Guiqing mountain and Guiqing gorge. There are 99 species of trees and shrubs in 29 families, more than 500 species of medicinal plants, and more than 20 species of national protected animals such as leopard. In particular, the thousand year old Picea crassifolia here can be called a unique one in Longshang and is praised as a natural botanical garden and zoo by visitors. The whole scenic spot is 15 Li long from north to South and 2-5 Li wide from east to west.
