Dajing Town, subordinate to Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located 80 kilometers east of Gulang County, adjacent to haizitan and peijiaying towns in the East, Minquan town in the southwest, Xijing Township in the west, and the southern edge of Tengger Desert in the north. It covers an area of 243.32 square kilometers. In 2019, it has jurisdiction over 26 villages, 1 residential community, 205 villager groups and a total population of 42800.

Historical evolution

In 1955, Dajing township was built.

In 1958, it merged with Minquan township to form Dajing town. In the same year, two townships of Xijing, Xinmin and Dajing merged to form Hongxing people's commune.

In 1959, it merged with iron and steel commune (now peijiaying town) to form Dajing commune. In August of the same year, with the branch of iron and steel commune, it was still Dajing commune.

In 1961, it was divided into Dajing commune.
