Shangshawo Town, belonging to Jingtai County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Jingtai County, at the junction of Gansu, Ningxia and Mongolia provinces. It borders Wufo Township and yitiaoshan town enclave in the southeast, Caowotan Township and Sitan Township in the south, Hongshui town in the west, manshuitan Township and Alxa Left Banner in Inner Mongolia in the north, with a total administrative area of 497 square kilometers.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Hongshui county.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Hongshui county and Jingtai County.

In 1952, it was divided into Hongshui Township and baidunzi township.

In 1955, it was merged into Hongshui township.

In 1956, baidunzi was separated and baidunzi township was established.

In 1958, it was merged into Hongshui commune.

In 1962, baidunzi commune was established.

In 1964, it was merged into Hongshui commune.
