Yangyu town

Yangyu Town, belonging to Qian County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the north of Qian county. It faces Fengyang town in the East, Chengguan town in the south, Liangshan town in the West and Jianjun town in Yongshou County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 9.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 11.5 km, with a total area of 72.7 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Yangyu town has 11 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of Yang Yu town was 33997. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Yangyu town reached 66 million yuan and the total industrial output value reached 50 million yuan.

Historical evolution

Because the town people's government is located in the south of Wufeng mountain and Liangshan Mountain, it is named Yangyu.

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to xinyili.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Yangyu joint protection was set up, and then it was changed to Yangyu township.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to Yangyu district (nine districts).

In 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Yangyu and Fengshi were established as Yangyu township.

In 1958, Tiefo commune was established.

In 1961, Yangyu commune was set up at the time of division adjustment.

In 1984, it was changed to Yangyu Township and Tiefo township.

In 1997, Yangyu township was changed into Yangyu town.

In 2001, Tiefo township was abolished and Yangyu town was merged.

As of June 2020, Yangyu town has 11 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in Nancun, Fengshi.

Yangyu town is located at the junction of the southern margin of the Ordos platform and the Weihe Fault Basin. There are three types of landforms in the territory: the loess tableland in the south, with low and flat terrain and lack of water resources; the zonal plain in the middle; and the hilly and gully area in the north. The altitude is 850-1019 meters.

Climatic characteristics

Yangyu town has a warm temperate semi humid continental monsoon climate. It is characterized by mild climate and four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 13.1 ℃, the annual average frost free period is 224 days, the annual average precipitation is 573 mm, and the rainfall is mainly concentrated in July to September every year.

Yangyu Town River belongs to the Weihe River system of the Yellow River Basin. The main river is Ganhe, which is 16 kilometers long.
