Yaojiagou town

Yaojiagou Town, belonging to Fengxiang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of Fengxiang District, adjacent to Fengming town of Qishan County in the East, Hengshui town in the southeast, Tianjiazhuang town in the South and southwest, miganqiao town in the West and northwest, and Zhaoxian town of Linyou County in the North and northeast. The total area is 150 square kilometers.

In yaojiagou Town, there is baidigou reservoir, one of the four reservoirs in Baoji City.

As of June 2020, yaojiagou town has five villages (residences), including one community and four administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of Yao Jia Gou town was 5106. Historical evolution

It got its name from several Yao families living in Chengcun in the early years of liangshanzhonggou.

In July 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Wulong district.

In 1956, it belonged to kangjiahe Township, with jurisdiction over 12 villages.

In September 1958, the commune was established, with 7 production teams and 31 production teams under its jurisdiction.

In 1961, the production brigade under its jurisdiction remained unchanged.

In 1983, yaojiagou township was set up, with 7 administrative villages and 31 villager groups.

In 1997, it was renamed yaojiagou town.

In December 2001, the township was withdrawn and merged with the town, and jianqu township was abolished.
