Puhua town

Puhua Town, belonging to Lantian County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the middle of Lantian County. It is adjacent to Yushan Town and jiujianfang town in the East, Lanqiao town in the south, Sanli town and Languan town in the west, Sanli town and Sanguan temple in the north, with a total area of 141.1 square kilometers.

In Puhua Town, there are national key cultural relics protection units, Shuilu nunnery, which is known as "the second Dunhuang in China" and "clay sculpture treasure". It is said that Cao Cao built the dressing table site (called rouzhitai) for Cai Wenji, the talented woman, the ancestral Wuzhen Temple of pure land, and the ancient plank road of Qinguan.

The origin of place names

During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1723-1735), the local people believed in Buddhism and took the meaning of "universalizing all living beings" to get the name of Puhua village. It got its name because the town government was stationed in Puhua village.
