QIANGMA town
QIANGMA town is located in the north of Tibet, on the north and south sides of the famous Tanggula mountains. It is adjacent to Zhiduo County, Zaduo county and nierong County in Qinghai Province in the East, Naqu County in the south, bange county and Shuanghu Special Administrative Region in the west, and Golmud City in Qinghai Province in the north. The county covers an area of about 100000 square kilometers. The county seat is located at 3420-3430 kilometers of 109 National Highway, 135 kilometers away from Naqu Town, 464 kilometers away from Lhasa City, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, and 703 kilometers away from Golmud City. It is the north gate of Tibet with developed transportation.

The township was established in 1960 and the commune was changed in 1972. In 1988, QIANGMA and qiema were merged into QIANGMA, and Desha and gupu were merged into Desha.
