Jiama Township

Qiongjie County of Tibet Autonomous Region governs the township. In 1959, it belonged to Jiama district. In 1988, it was removed from the district and changed to township. Located in the southwest of the county, 18 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 299.66 square kilometers and has a population of 4561 (2017). The county highway goes directly to the township government. It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely Jianye, Nari, Jiefang and Teli. Mainly in agriculture and animal husbandry, planting wheat, highland barley, rape, buckwheat, Grazing Yak, cattle, sheep. Because of the high altitude, hail and flood are frequent. Jianye Temple

Founded in the 11th century, it was named gexizaba. The family of gexizaba has a long history. During the reign of long songdezan (755-797), the ancestor of gexizaba was a minister of the court, and built the green pagoda of Sangye temple and jiangqiuling temple. Xiang dagawa, a descendant of Qin duojiezhedong, has 6 children (4 males and 2 females). Gexizaba, the eldest son, was named "DACAO" when he was born in 1012. DACAO was intelligent when he was a child. He was the number one shepherd in his youth for five years. Later, he became a monk in front of yangxuzuo and named himself "xieraojiawa" (Zhisheng). He listened to and received "penaye" before his teacher for about a year. Then he listened to and received various dharmas in front of his uncle xiangdunqueba and obtained "xiawenxiufa". Here, he had learned all the dharmas, and later built many temples in Yahweh and Yahweh. After his uncle's death, he built a house and said "Mi Xu Jing Shi". He built 100000 statues of Shengle King Kong and Xi King Kong and taught many disciples. One of the disciples invited him to teach in Yalong and got the name of "gexizaba", which means "rich good knowledge". After that, he was taught by Dang basanjie and Banzhida dawagongbo, and learned the nine god lamp method of the Xijie sect and the "six yoga professor", thus obtaining great wisdom. In the meantime, he toppled labkin's family. Got a lot of property and built Jieru temple. Zhatang temple was built in 1081. In 1091, his disciples stabbed his heart with chopsticks and died at the age of 79.
