Nanyi Township

Luoba nationality township in Nanyi is the largest settlement of Luoba nationality in China, which means "holy land" in Nanyi Tibetan. With an average sea level of 2940 meters, the township belongs to the temperate climate zone in Southeast Tibet, with an administrative area of 648.4 square kilometers, including 58000 mu of forest land, 210000 mu of grassland and 3399 mu of glacier. The township governs three administrative villages of Nanyi, qionglin and Caizhao, with a total of 132 households and 553 people, including 403 people of Luoba nationality, accounting for 72% of the total population of the township. In 2018, the total economic income of farmers and herdsmen in the township was 15.5579 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 19355.94 yuan, including cash income of 15.551 yuan. The income of farmers and herdsmen is mainly tourism, collection of forest resources, labor export, animal husbandry and characteristic planting and breeding.
