Daze district was established in 1959 and changed to Daze Township in 1987. In 1996, daze Township covers an area of 2630 square kilometers and has a population of 2000. It governs 15 administrative villages including Nichi, Zhenba, Gala, Banna, Qugu, guocha, Langou, daze, kasmu, Zibu, dazzhuosha, langse, Liding, zalang and niang'ou.
