Bianba County, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs the township and four village committees, namely, Reyu village, Dongmei village, Jigong village and gagong village.

It is located in the west of Changdu City, northeast of Bianba County, adjacent to DUWA Township in the south, 46 kilometers away from the county seat.

It is located in the Nujiang Valley.

It belongs to semi humid climate of plateau temperate zone with cold climate.

The township covers an area of 337.39 square kilometers.

In 2017, there were 2098 people in the township.

It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, planting highland barley, wheat and rape, and Grazing Yak, cattle, goats and sheep.

Historical evolution

In 1960, Reyu township was set up, in 1970, it was changed into a commune, and in 1984, it was restored.

Infrastructure construction

In September 2020, the construction of the road from line S302 in Bianba county to Jigong village in Reyu township will be completed, and 18.6 km of class IV cement road will be built.
