Located in the southwest of Changdu City, northwest of Luolong County, adjacent to Xinrong Township in the East, 38 kilometers away from the county.

The township covers an area of 930.32 square kilometers.

In 2017, there were 6989 people in the township.

Historical evolution

Russia's Xixiang was established in 1959, the commune was changed in 1970, and the township was restored in 1984.

In 2020, Xixiang xuewatong village will be a new village.

Infrastructure construction

On November 13, 2019, the announcement of winning the bid for the drinking water safety project in Gongzhong village of western Russia was issued, including a new water intake, a 300 m3 reservoir, and 16730 m long drinking water pipeline.

In the first half of 2020, the project of village level organization and activity places in shewatong village, zhaga village and yeyi village is under construction in Russia.

In August 2020, the bidding notice for the construction of the highway from Ciqiong village to Gongmei natural village in western Russia was issued, with a total length of 3.65 km.

On September 1, 2020, the bidding notice for the construction of the highway project from yeyi village to kangshaka natural village, Dadeng village to Ertuo natural village and Ciqiong village to Dazong natural village was issued. The total length of the highway is 8.46 km, 8.56 km and 6.01 km respectively.

Culture and education

In 2006, two students from Russia's Xixiang No.1 Primary School were admitted to the Tibetan Class in the mainland.

In 2019, there will be Russia's first primary school and Russia's second primary school.

In June 2019, there are 533 students and 26 teachers in Russia's Xixiang No.1 Primary School.

Spiritual civilization construction

On June 1, 2020, Russian Xixiang No.2 primary school will hold the 10th anniversary of the founding of the school and "June 1" children's day cultural and sports activities, including stage play, aerobics, dance, stepping on balloons, grabbing benches, etc.

In April 2017 and April 2018, Russia held the fifth and sixth Xinghua tourism culture and Art Festival.
